FAQs
What should I do if my printer doesn't recognise my new cartridge?
Firstly, if you are certain you've removed all packaging including the tab that covers the print head switch off your printer and then use a damp paper towel to gently clean the contacts of either the cartridge or the printer. Switch your printer back on and reinstall the cartridge.
If this doesn't help take out the cartridge, turn off both your printer and your PC, reboot your PC, turn your printer back on and reinstall the cartridge.
If this fails to rectify the problem please call us on 0800 9 707 141 and we will arrange for a new cartridge to be delivered or, if you prefer, a full refund.
My new cartridge works but it gives poor prints, what can I do to improve the quality?
If the cartridge has not been stored upright and at room temperature then there may be a possibility of poor print quality. Leave the cartridge installed in the printer for 2 to 6 hours
Always, when installing a new cartridge, be sure to run the printer's head-cleaning facility as this will clean out any dried ink in the printer nozzles. Also set the printer to print "best".
If your cartridge has the print head attached (all Lexmarks, most HP's and some Canons) remove it from the printer, wrap a paper towel around it and shake it several times. Now blot the print head on the paper towel until a colour or black "footprint" is left on the towel.
If you are unable to see a "footprint" gently clean the print head with a paper towel dipped in warm water. Check again for your "footprint".
If this fails to rectify the problem please call us on 0800 9 707 141 and we will arrange for a new cartridge to be delivered or, if you prefer, a full refund.
